Direct Carry courier confidentiality agreement
Version: dc-courier-confidentiality-20261022-v1
This agreement is between Direct Carry Ltd, company number 17480602, registered in England and Wales at 124-128 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX (Direct Carry), and the courier named in the electronic signing record (you). It covers information you receive or access while considering, carrying out or closing Direct Carry assignments.
1. Information covered
Keep non-public information about Direct Carry assignments confidential. This includes customer, sender and recipient names, contact details and addresses; passport and other identity information; document contents; collection and delivery arrangements, routes and timings; internal job instructions; and private links, codes or other access information. Information may be on paper, on a device, in a message or spoken to you.
2. Use it only for the authorised job
Use this information only to understand, perform and close the work Direct Carry has authorised. Access only what you need. Do not make extra copies, read confidential contents out of curiosity, or use job information for personal purposes. Do not put it into public groups, social media or unapproved apps or AI services.
3. Share only with the right people
Share only the minimum needed with Operations or people authorised for the job who need that information. Verify the recipient and use the agreed channel. You may disclose information where the law requires it or to comply with lawful official instructions, including airport security and border checks. Where lawful and practicable, tell Operations before such disclosure, or as soon as possible afterwards. Nothing in this agreement prevents a protected disclosure, lawful reporting to the police or a regulator, or obtaining confidential legal advice.
4. Protect information and access
Keep documents and devices secure, use a strong screen lock and current security updates, and follow the job brief and Direct Carry privacy instructions. Keep your personal access code private; do not lend your login or let another person work through it. Check recipients and attachments before sending. Ask Operations when an instruction is unclear.
5. Report a problem immediately
Tell Operations immediately, as soon as it is safe, if information, a document or a device is lost, sent to the wrong person, accessed without permission, or otherwise exposed, or if you suspect this has happened. Call 020 8064 2664 using a known contact route. Give the facts, protect remaining information and cooperate with reasonable containment and investigation steps. Do not conceal the incident or destroy evidence.
6. Return information and remove unnecessary copies
Return documents and other material as Operations directs. Once the official record is safely saved, remove local copies in line with the authorised retention instructions, including any permitted downloads or backups. Do not keep a personal customer archive or delete official job records or incident evidence yourself. If law requires you to keep a copy, or Direct Carry authorises its retention, keep only what is needed, restrict access and continue to protect it.
7. What is excluded and how long this lasts
These confidentiality duties do not apply to information that is lawfully public without a breach of this agreement, that you already lawfully held without a confidentiality restriction, that you receive lawfully from someone entitled to share it, or that you develop independently without using confidential information. Personal information must still be handled as data protection law requires. These duties continue after an assignment or your work with Direct Carry ends for as long as the information remains confidential.
8. Your agreement and copy
By typing your full legal name, ticking the agreement box and selecting Sign and save agreement, you confirm that you have read these terms and intend to accept them by electronic signature. Direct Carry retains a copy of the agreed text, its version and document fingerprint, your typed name, your assent and the recorded signing time. Your saved confirmation provides a copy to download or print. This agreement concerns confidentiality; it does not by itself approve you for an assignment.
