Courier privacy notice
Updated 16 September 2026.
Who handles your information?
Direct Carry manages applications and its courier network. Contact info@directcarry.co.uk about your information.
What we collect and why
At application: your name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, address, base location, airports, availability, transport, experience and the professional information you choose to provide. We use this to assess your application, find suitable couriers and contact you about assignments.
After a private invitation: date of birth (with age calculated from it), passport details, relevant driving licence details, bank payment information and a profile photo. We use these to verify onboarding information, administer assignments and arrange payments. An emergency contact is optional; obtain their permission first. We do not ask for bank passwords, card security codes or passport scans through these forms.
Private records and business contacts
Access to application and onboarding records is restricted to the Direct Carry administrator. Contact details, base city/country and applicant status may be copied into our business address book and used through WhatsApp, Microsoft or another contact provider. Passport, bank details and DOB are not copied into phone contacts. Photos are for internal identification, not public marketing.
Hosting and protection
The website and record service use Vercel, OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure to process and store submissions. Contact forms and onboarding details are encrypted in storage; photos are stored privately and encrypted. Basic record indexes, including name, city, country, airports and status, remain available for authorised searches. Providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable service arrangements. Internet transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed risk-free.
Our purposes and retention
We use application information at your request to assess potential courier engagements and for legitimate operational administration, and payment information to arrange agreed courier payments. We keep it while reviewing your application or while it remains relevant to courier opportunities and assignments. We review inactive records and remove information no longer required; records necessary for completed engagements or legal obligations may need to be retained longer. Contact us if you no longer wish to be considered.
Your choices and requests
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to relevant processing, or ask us to stop contacting you about opportunities. Email info@directcarry.co.uk. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. See our website privacy policy for wider website information.
