Asia on-board courier routes from London

An urgent original document or small critical item needs a practical route to the person who will use it. Choose the actual receiving city, compare the arrival and onward journey, and prepare the right details before committing to travel.

Start with your recipient, not the biggest airport

London to Singapore on-board courier

Compare usable London departures against the complete journey. A nonstop flight avoids a change of aircraft, but an earlier workable connection can sometimes beat waiting for the next direct service. Neither a published timetable nor a fare displayed online confirms courier availability or acceptance of your item.

London to Hong Kong on-board courier

We assess the available London-to-Hong-Kong journey together with the transfer from HKG. The useful comparison is the proposed recipient handover, not simply which flight leaves London first. A connection is considered only with sufficient transfer time, suitable passenger entry or transit arrangements and item acceptance throughout.

London to Tokyo on-board courier

Compare each viable itinerary with airport exit, the appropriate onward train or road journey and the remaining time before the recipient closes. Haneda and Narita are not interchangeable stops: a more convenient airport is only helpful when its actual arrival and onward journey suit the deadline. Any transfer between airports is a separate journey, not an ordinary airside connection.

London to Taipei on-board courier

Do not assume a flight advertised as Taipei lands at the airport closest to the recipient. Check the airport code, connection details and any change of terminal or airport. Compare the full journey to the named address, including the time needed for the correct import or clearance procedure.

London to Hanoi on-board courier

Compare available London departures and workable connections against the final Vietnam-local deadline. A connected itinerary must allow realistic transfer time and account for the courier's traveller requirements and the consignment's clearance route. Do not assume an arrival elsewhere in Vietnam leaves a trivial onward journey to Hanoi.

London to Shanghai on-board courier

PVG and SHA are separate airports. Check any airport transfer before accepting a connected itinerary and compare the actual trip to the recipient.

London to Shenzhen on-board courier

Account for the consignment's import arrangements, the courier's permissions and the full border-to-recipient journey before choosing a Hong Kong alternative.

The route decisions that change the outcome

Direct flight or a connection?

Compare the complete handover time. A nonstop flight avoids a change of aircraft; an earlier connection may sometimes be more workable. Include transfer time, the courier's traveller requirements and acceptance of the consignment throughout.

Arrival city or neighbouring market?

A Hong Kong arrival is not a completed Shenzhen delivery. Singapore and Kuala Lumpur need separate country plans. A quote should name the actual recipient location and any onward border or domestic journey.

Airport handover or delivery to the desk?

An agreed landside meeting can differ substantially from a city or industrial-site delivery. Confirm the meeting point, authorised recipient and access. Do not assume the courier can enter an airside or controlled area.

A local deadline, not just “tomorrow”

State both the date and destination-local time. London changes its clocks seasonally. Send both local dates and times with your enquiry so the team can assess the complete collection-to-recipient window before confirming a route.

Documents and goods need different questions

Original documents and existing passports

Describe the document, the authority to carry it and any named-signature requirement. Say when the recipient must have the original to use it. Transport does not include passport issue, visa processing, legalisation or acceptance by the receiving authority unless separately agreed.

Fashion samples, devices and small critical items

Give the real contents, intended use, value and packed measurements. Identify batteries or unusual materials. State who receives or imports the goods and whether they will return. Small size is not evidence of airline or customs acceptance.

Hand carry does not bypass customs

Establish the export, transit and import procedure for the exact consignment before buying travel. Do not assume that a commercial courier shipment qualifies for a traveller's personal allowances or a simplified merchandise-in-baggage procedure. Use the responsible agent or authority to confirm the applicable route.

Cabin carriage is subject to the operating airline and security rules. Do not label accompanied checked baggage as uninterrupted in-cabin custody. The booking should state the agreed carriage and handover arrangements.

What a useful confirmed quote should explain
  • The collection, route, onward delivery and proposed recipient handover.
  • Who is responsible for import arrangements and any unresolved preconditions.
  • Courier and travel costs, and which additional charges need agreement.
  • Requested insurance: the actual cover, conditions and cost, not just the declared value.
  • The update process, agreed proof of delivery and what happens if the route changes.

Do not assume consequential losses, missed events or business interruption are covered. Read the actual quote and policy terms.
