WHY DIRECT CARRY

Plan delivery before the fitting, shoot or presentation.

Garment and accessory samples may be needed for a fitting, press appointment, campaign shoot or showroom presentation. Tell us when the stylist or production team needs the items in hand, allowing time for unpacking, steaming or preparation where required.

Describe each garment or accessory, the package count and the packed dimensions. Tell us whether it is boxed, folded or in a garment bag and identify any handling concerns. We assess the exact sample shipment and delivery location before confirming travel. For a development item with unusual materials or components, see our prototype hand-carry guidance.

Fashion samples are assessed individually. Declare the actual materials, values and all accompanying items, including liquids, aerosols, batteries or valuable accessories. A garment bag or sample description does not by itself confirm suitability for the journey. Required transport and shipment checks are agreed before acceptance.

HOW WE PLAN IT

Use the production schedule to set the handover.

The venue’s call time is only one part of the delivery plan. A hotel reception, studio entrance, showroom and backstage receiving point can have different access arrangements. Confirm where an authorised team member will meet the courier and how to reach them if the schedule changes.

01
List the samples

Provide garment or accessory references, quantities, materials and values.

02
Confirm the packing

Give package count, packed dimensions, gross weight and handling concerns.

03
Check collection release

Identify who can release the samples and the earliest time they will be packed.

04
Set the usable deadline

Allow time for preparation before the fitting, shoot or presentation starts.

05
Arrange venue access

Name the stylist or production contact and a permitted handover point.

06
Agree onward plans

Explain any return or onward movement so it can be assessed and quoted separately.

Keep sample references and receiving details together.
CUSTODY & HANDOVER

Keep sample references and receiving details together.

Label the package with the agreed shipment or sample reference and use packing suitable for the item and journey. Tell us about delicate embellishment, shape retention or other handling concerns before collection. If several samples are included, a clear item list helps the collection and receiving teams identify the shipment.

✓

FAQ

Common questions

Can you carry a garment bag or an item that cannot be folded?

Send the packed measurements and explain why folding would affect the sample. We assess the available carriage method for the exact item and route. Do not assume that a garment bag can be hung, stored flat or carried in a particular way until those arrangements are confirmed.

Can you deliver directly to a stylist, studio or event venue?

Provide the full address, named production or styling contact, working phone number, access hours and permitted delivery point. We assess the final handover with the journey. A guest list or event ticket should not be assumed to give the courier access.

Can you bring the samples back after the shoot?

Tell us the return ready time and who will repack and release the items. A return or onward movement is included only if agreed and quoted. Update the item list if pieces are added, removed or changed after the original journey.

Are high-value accessories automatically insured?

No. A declared value does not create insurance cover or confirm acceptance. Insurance is available on request. We confirm the available cover, relevant limits, exclusions, conditions and cost for your shipment in writing before booking. If cover is essential, discuss it before booking and do not proceed until suitable arrangements have been verified in writing.
