WHY DIRECT CARRY

Arrange delivery around release from the notary

Notarised documents often sit in a longer legalisation or filing chain, so a missed transport deadline can delay the next appointment or authority.

We can coordinate collection directly after notarisation and route the paperwork to the overseas office, agent or authority handling the next step.

If the apostille or legalisation stage has already finished, see delivery of apostilled documents. Practices arranging repeated collections can use our courier guidance for notaries and legalisation providers.

Direct Carry is an on-board courier/hand-carry service, not a legal adviser or certification authority. We transport accepted items; the sender remains responsible for document validity, legalisation, filing rules and any jurisdiction-specific requirements.

HOW WE PLAN IT

Use the completed appointment as the collection starting point

The start time for transport is when the notary can release the prepared pack, which may be later than the appointment start. Confirm which documents are ready, whether further processing is planned and which office receives them next. These details determine the useful travel window.

01
Confirm appointment progress

Give the notary’s office and expected finish time. Identify who will tell us when the finished pack is actually available for release.

02
Describe the prepared set

State whether the movement includes notarised copies, original documents, certificates or several packs. Give the packed dimensions and weight.

03
Clarify the next stop

Identify whether the recipient is an overseas office or another processing provider. Your adviser should confirm the intended sequence before collection.

04
Check receiving availability

Provide the recipient’s local hours, appointment or handover deadline. Include time needed for any subsequent processing step they have specified.

05
Protect the pack

Pass on the notary’s handling instructions for bindings, attachments and protective folders. The courier should receive the set ready for travel.

06
Update after delays

Tell us if the appointment or release time changes. The departure choice and receiving arrangements need to remain aligned with the actual ready time.

Identify the set the notary is releasing
CUSTODY & HANDOVER

Identify the set the notary is releasing

Use the collection reference supplied by the notary’s office and confirm the number of packs. If supporting originals are included, make that explicit. The sender or professional should check the set before release; the transport instruction should record how it is packaged and where it goes next.

✓
Named collection contactThe notary’s office confirms the finished pack is available and authorised for release.
✓
Direct courier custodyKeep the specified certificates, bindings and supporting papers in the prepared set.
✓
Named recipientIdentify the next professional, agency or overseas recipient clearly.
✓
Progress updatesPass appointment or completion delays to the person arranging the next handover.

FAQ

Common questions

Can collection follow my notary appointment?

Give the expected finish time and the office contact who will confirm release. The appointment start time alone does not establish when the courier can take the finished pack.

Do notarised documents need further processing before delivery?

Ask your adviser or intended recipient to confirm the required processing. The courier can assess the instructed transport route but does not decide whether notarisation alone is sufficient.

Can supporting originals travel with the notarised copies?

Describe the full set, its package count and any special handling instructions. The sender should check that all intended documents are included before the pack is sealed.

What if the notary finishes later than expected?

Send the revised ready time promptly. We can reassess the proposed journey and recipient availability, but an earlier departure cannot be assumed to remain practical.

Need the original there urgently?

Send the collection point, destination, document or item details and the real handover deadline. We’ll assess the practical route.
